Barnard Spring Party & Auction 2006
Barnard gathered its best and brightest on Monday evening, May 8, for the annual Spring Party & Auction to aid the student scholarship fund. This successful event at the Puck Building in downtown Manhattan drew 520 guests who raised $854,000 toward scholarships for students with need. The event honored alumna and Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Dasha Epstein (Ain't Misbehavin, Children of a Lesser God) and director of Barnard's visual arts program Joan Snitzer. Highlights of the evening included silent and live auctions and a performance by country
singer Louise Mandrell. Throughout the evening, models wearing designs from LUCA LUCA mingled with guests. Pulitzer prize-winning author Anna Quindlen, chair of the board, was master of ceremonies. The benefit committee was co-chaired by Trustees Jolyne Caruso-FitzGerald, Cheryl Glicker Milstein and Diana Touliatou Vagelos.
