Barnard Trustee Patricia H. Nadosy '68 Receives Columbia Alumni Medal
Barnard alumna and trustee Patricia Harrigan Nadosy ’68 has been awarded a Columbia University Alumni Medal for 2007. This year’s award recipients were announced at the University’s commencement ceremony on Wednesday, May 16.
The University chose Nadosy for her decades-long commitment to her alma mater and for 13 years of distinguished service as a Barnard trustee. In awarding the medal, the University cited Nadosy’s role in spearheading the creation of the Financial Fluency Program for Barnard alumnae. It also praised her “limitless energy,” her “roll-up-your sleeves” efforts, and her wide-ranging contributions as a member of the Board’s Executive Committee and the Board committees on investments, student life, budget and finance, and buildings and grounds.
After graduating from Barnard, Nadosy earned an MBA from Columbia and went on to pursue a distinguished career in banking and finance. She later earned a PhD in Biology-Plant Sciences from the City University of New York.
Columbia’s 2007 alumni medalists will be honored at a dinner on November 3, 2007.
