September 11 Memorial
September
11, 2006—President Judith Shapiro and the Barnard community
remembered the 2001 tragedy today. Pres. Shapiro laid a wreath
at Barnard's memorial tree.
The plaque
near the tree says: "The Barnard community planted this
eastern redbud tree one year after the tragic events of September
11, 2001 in remembrance of those who lost their lives and
as a symbol of hope."
