AND COLUMBIA SCHOLARS TO EXAMINE RELIGIOUS VIOLENCE
AT COMMUNITY FORUM, 7 -9 P.M. OCT. 8

YORK, N.Y. -- In the wake of September 11, seven
scholars from Barnard College and Columbia University
will examine the issue of religious violence
at a community forum from 7-9 p.m., Monday Oct.
8, in the James Room on the fourth floor of
Barnard Hall.
The
moderator for the evening will be John S. Hawley,
professor of religion at Barnard. The discussion
will include presentations by two panels, as
