President Quoted on College Pricing Trends
President Judith Shapiro addressed the national news media in Washington, D.C. on the costs of college and financial aid as a participating leader in the release of the College Board's annual survey of pricing trends and benefits of higher education.
Joining College Board President Gaston Caperton, President Shapiro spoke to major news organizations about cost trends, financial aid and the advantages of college. The story ran in newspapers nationwide. The Knight Ridder newspaper chain quoted President Shapiro in a story that ran in major dailies.
In addition to economists directly involved in the survey, one or two college presidents are invited each year to participate in the release of the survey and discuss trends in college pricing with the media.
