Saleem Al-Deen is a leading playwright of Bangladesh. His dramatic work
has been seen on stage, film, and television in Bangladesh, India,
Britain, and the United States. He is Professor of Drama at Jahanginar
University.

Denny Partridge began her directing career with the San Francisco Mime Troupe in l970; she went on to found New York City‚s Modern Times Theater, where she directed new plays for more than a decade. Ms. Partridge received an OBIE award with the Mime Troupe, five American College Theatre
Festival Awards, and two Fulbright fellowships, to Bangladesh in l989 and to Taiwan in l998. She has directed and taught on four continents, and toured throughout the United States for the past 30 years. She is Pels Professor of Theatre at Barnard College.

The Wheel was Translated by Steve Friedman with Jamil Ahmed. Steve Friedman teaches playwriting and acting in the Barnard Theatre Department. He was a resident playwright and actor with the San Francisco Mime Troupe and New York's Modern Times Theater. His play HIBAKUSHA received a National Endowment for the Arts Playwriting Fellowship and a New York State CAPS grant. His play FREEDOOM DAYS was published and produced by the SF Mime Troupe and others.
