A Book Party and Reading in celebration of the
publication of:
The
First Look
by
Amelia Davis
A
diverse portrait of renewal, regeneration, and
most of all reality, The First Look presents
breast cancer survivors who are mothers, grandmothers,
wives and daughters ranging in age from twenty-five
to seventy-six. The First Look affirms
the human body as an art form, not only as it
was created, but also as it is reshaped in the
course of a life.

Main Barnard Gate at Broadway and 117th Street
The
reception will begin at 4:30pm with readings by
the author at 5pm. Sign language interpreters
will be available.
