ODS Newsletter April 2011

Happy April Fools' Day to all of you! As if we haven't already had enough winter weather to last a lifetime — we're now in what is being termed the "April Fools’ Day Storm" — although NYC is being spared and our friends in upstate and New England are getting anywhere from 4-10 inches. We're now in the true home-stretch of the SP'11 term — so there's lots of info to share in this newsletter as well as in our upcoming May issue. As you proceed with the completion of all of your work, please remember to take care of yourself, get some quality rest and relaxation, take a walk and a deep yoga cleansing breath — and remember to nourish your mind/body connection!

Test Accommodations Forms (TAFs) update

If you have a TAF on file with ODS for the SP'11 term, the deadline for confirming your final exam test accommodations with Susan Linn is Friday 4/22 at 4pm. Thanks to all of you who have already come in and talked with Susan L — and please remember that you *must* come in to confirm in-person with Susan L regardless of whether the accommodations are being provided by your professor or by ODS. Many thanks — and best of luck with your finals!

There will be one final application workshop on Monday 4/4 from 3-4pm in OCD in Elliott Hall — and the deadline for all online applications is April 6 at 11:59pm. This is a great opportunity to try on a new field as well as your disability in the workplace. ODS Senior Exit Interviews

Congratulations to all of our graduating seniors in the illustrious Class of 2011! As you prepare to leave us — pls remember to call or email Susan L to set up a Senior Exit Interview with either Susan Q or Okie so we can get some valuable feedback from you re: our work — as well as your post-Barnard plans. These brief mtgs should only take 20-30 minutes and are invaluable to us — so thanks in advance for meeting with us and reviewing your past, present, as well as any future accommodation needs.
