Converting Documents into PDFs
Sometimes an employer will require that you submit
application materials in a PDF form. Which means that, unless you own
Adobe Acrobat Writer software, you are going to have to seek out a
service
that can turn your Word documents, etc. into PDFs
On-Campus
● Document Services can convert Word
documents into PDFs for students.
● To submit your document,
visit the Document Services
website, and follow their instructions for "Digital Print/Copy
Services—for converting documents into Acrobat PDF format for
digital printing or color copier output"
Through G-Mail
● If you have G-Mail, follow these steps to make convert your Word
document: 1) Once you log-in to G-Mail, click the Documents link
on the upper left hand side of the page 2) Click the Upload button
to Upload your document 3) Once you have opened the document,
click File 4) Chose Export as PDF from the drop-down menu
On-line
● Free online PDF
converters are available for use online, but
be wary of
downloading any software to your computer!
●
PDFOnline
converts documents for free online, and then sends the new PDF
to you in an e-mail.
