Who we serve?

ODS uses the definition of disability included in both Section 504 and the ADA: “a disability is any physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.” ODS serves students with hearing, mobility and visual impairments - and over 90% of our registrants are students with hidden disabilities: LD and ADD, chronic medical conditions, psychiatric disabilities and substance abuse/recovery. Although we are a separate office, we work closely with our colleagues in Counseling Services, the Student Health Service, the Alcohol and Substance Awareness Program (ASAP) and Well-Woman.
