How parents can help

In ensuring reasonable accommodation as mandated by Section 504 and the ADA, ODS strives to assist students with disabilities in becoming self-sufficient in the ongoing management of their disability-related needs. All registrations with ODS are confidential - except as delineated in the ODS Exchange of Information Form. As with other Barnard student support services, students must be the ones to initiate contact with ODS. Parents, however, can facilitate this process by encouraging their daughters to do so. Contact with ODS can be made via email, telephone call, note or in-person - and at any point during a student’s college career - the sooner the better!
