Although activism can take as many forms as the activists
who practice it - from sprawling public marches to impassioned private
letter-writing campaigns - the power to shape lasting social change most
often resides at the intersection of policy creation, interpretation,
and advocacy. For decades, Barnard woman have been at the forefront of
public policy reform. Fighting for it. Writing it. Adjudicating it.
Implementing it. NYCCEP brings together alumnae and leaders in the
public sector to share their invaluable strategies not only for
interpreting and creating law, but also for changing the world in which
we live.
