Making the Rules: Women Shaping Public Policy
Wednesday, April 11, 2007
6:00pm, James Room, 4th Floor Barnard Hall

Although activism can take as many forms as the activists who practice it - from sprawling public marches to impassioned private letter-writing campaigns - the power to shape lasting social change most often resides at the intersection of policy creation, interpretation, and advocacy. For decades, Barnard woman have been at the forefront of public policy reform. Fighting for it. Writing it. Adjudicating it. Implementing it. NYCCEP brings together alumnae and leaders in the public sector to share their invaluable strategies not only for interpreting and creating law, but also for changing the world in which we live.
