SUMMER IN
NEW YORK CITY 2008
A co-educational pre-college program for rising high school juniors and seniors at Barnard in partnership with Columbia University
EXPLORE YOUR IDEAS
IMAGINE YOUR FUTURE
Learn to think like a college student
in New York City.
Get a head start on college life in the world's greatest city. The Barnard College Summer in New York City
program offers young men and women a unique opportunity to sample pre-college courses at one of the nation's premiere colleges -- while exploring New York City both in and out of the classroom.
Whether you choose our four-week session, our one-week mini courses, or our Young Women's Leadership Institute, your studies could include visiting an art gallery, attending a poetry slam, or meeting city leaders.
Evenings and weekends are packed with organized trips to landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Rockefeller Center. Concerts in the Park, film festivals, ethnic neighborhood festivals - it's all here, waiting for you. This summer, discover yourself as you discover New York and get an unforgettable taste of your future.
