Career Planning and Job Searching

*     Visit our on-line suggestions for getting a good recommendation.

*     Also visit Barnard's comprehensive Career Development web site, with fact sheets on resumes, cover letters, interviewing tips and many links to web sites that the Career Development counselors have found helpful for Barnard women. Two in particular, "Jobtrak" and "Experience," are linked to the front page of the site. Jobtrak lists full-time jobs from employers specifically seeking Barnard and other Columbia University graduates. "Experience" is a great resource for industry information, links to companies and organizations, and job listings.

Students can log in (using your social security number and then choosing a password) to see internship, part-time, and summer listings. You can also find alumnæ mentors willing to be contacted for informational interviews and sign up for the many career and job-preparation workshops, dinners, and other events that the OCD plans.
