Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College will close at 4pm today, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. DEPOSIT: $500
Upon acceptance into Barnard's Summer Programs, all students are sent registration forms to be completed and returned with a $500 deposit. The deposit will be applied to the program charge and is not refundable.
Applying to Two Programs
Please note that applicants may apply to ONLY the 4-week program OR a 1-week program. If an applicant is closed out of the program that he/she applies for, the Office of Precollege Programs will contact the student and offer a second choice, if available.
If a student is interested in attending BOTH the 1-week Liberal Arts Intensive AND YWLI, or the 1-week Liberal Arts Intensive AND Dance in the City, please note the following:
- The College cannot provide housing or storage of belongings for the one week gap between the end of one program and the start of another;
- Two application fees will be required to process the applications for two programs; and
- If a student decides not to attend the second program after starting the first, note our refund policy.
