The Barnard College Primary Care Health Service will close for winter break at 4pm on Friday December 19th. There will be no medical staff available during the winter break.
Primary Care will reopen for administrative purposes only on Monday January 5th. Regular clinical care will resume at 9am on Tuesday January 20th.
Please note that the Clinician On Call will not be in service from 12pm Friday December 19th through 8am on Tuesday January 13th.
Barnard students can be seen until Tuesday January 20th for urgent health care problems only at Columbia Health while Primary Care is closed. Barnard students seen at Columbia Health will be charged an up-front per visit fee of $75, which may be reimbursable by your health insurance (for more info: barnard.edu/primarycare/services/columbia-reimbursement). Please call 212-854-2284 or visit health.columbia.edu for Columbia Health’s hours and location.
Barnard students can also be seen for urgent health care only at CityMD at 88th Street & Broadway. Insurance copays/fees may apply; and, if you opted out of the Barnard Aetna Student Health Insurance you may require a referral. Students with Aetna Student Health Insurance do not need a referral during winter break. Fall all others, call your insurance company to verify your benefits and see if you require a referral before scheduling an appointment. Please call 212-721-2111 or visit www.citymd.com for CityMD’s hours, location, and list of accepted insurance plans.
All non-urgent matters (ex. prescription refills, referrals, physical exams, routine GYN exams, chronic conditions) should be addressed
with the PCHS on January 20, 2015, when we open for the Spring semester.
We wish you a healthy and relaxing winter break.
