Flushing, New York

The Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapati Devasthanam is located in Flushing, NY and was established in 1977 through the Hindu Temple Society of North America. Today the temple is under the leadership of Dr. Uma Mysorekar.  The temple’s principal deity is Ganesha, also known as Ganapati.  The temple offers many facilities including a wedding hall, community center, temple patsala (school), and a canteen.  It also hosts a vibrant youth culture, including a host of dance, music, language, yoga, Veda, and SAT classes, as well as a youth group, organized and run by young members of the temple in conjunction with temple leaders.  Performances, benefit shows, spelling bees, lectures, picnics, and numerous other events allow youth with a variety of interests to become involved and engaged in the temple community.
