Student Organization Website Request

Thank you for your interset in creating and maintaining a webstie for your student organization. The College Activities Office is excited about new ways of communication between clubs and their memberships. Below, you will find a brief summary of the expectation Barnard College has of your use of webspace, as well as the basic procedure for requesting and obtaining a website.

Expectations of student organization regarding web use:

  • Websites will be regularly updated, at least one time per academic semester.
  • The Academic Technologies Web Publishing team will support websites created using supported web publishing software.
  • Website source files should be kept in a known or established location so that the website may be updated regularly.
  • While Barnard College and the Activities Office will not restrict expression via student organization websites, we do expect that organizations carefully consider the content of their sites and be prepared to engage in conversations about the content.

Procedure:

  1. Complete the online form below. You may be asked to schedule an appointment to go over the form with your advisor.
  2. You will be contacted shortly thereafter by your CAO advisor with your website address and password along with some general information about uploading websites to your Barnard webspace.
