Using SSH Secure Shell Client

  1. Install SSH Secure Shell Client
    • If you are publishing your files in a computer lab, then SSH Secure Shell is already installed and you can skip ahead to Step 2. If you are using a Mac, use Terminal to log into the Eclipse server.
    • To download SSH, log in to eBear, click on the "My Tools" tab, and click on "Download." SSH is listed under "Secure Networking Connectivity Tools."
    • If you no longer have access to eBear, you can download Putty instead. You can use Putty much the same way you would use SSH. See the CUIT website on Putty for more details.
    • Once the download has completed, follow the on-screen instructions to install the program.
