DEAN OF THE COLLEGE,
DOROTHY DENBURG

Office Administrators:
Susan Cohn,
Assistant to the Dean of the College
Stacey Miller,
Secretary to the Dean of the College

Dear Student,

As the Dean of the College, your dean, I am responsible for supervision of the services that support and enhance students' lives at the College, including: Admissions, the Office of the Dean of Studies, with its staff of class deans, pre-professional advisors, international students and study abroad advisers, the Registrar's Office, the Office of Disability Services, the Office for Multicultural Affairs, our opportunity programs including HEOP, Career Development, Student Life, including Residential Life, College Activities, the Health and Counseling Services, and the Intercollegiate Athletic Consortium. The deans and directors of these various offices and programs work to help Barnard students derive the most from their years at Barnard and to complete their undergraduate education successfully and happily.

Each of these offices is staffed by teams of individuals who look forward to working with you, hearing your concerns, and addressing your issues. It is your responsibility to seek them out and avail yourself of the many resources they offer. Please do not hesitate to do so - that is why we are here. Feel free to visit us in our offices and on the web.

I am fortunate to love my work at the College in part because I am so committed to this institution; I am a proud Barnard alumna who believes that the College changed my life in dramatic and positive ways. But mostly I enjoy my work because I love to meet and get to know Barnard students. Although I meet regularly with student members of many College committees and with student government officers, I invite you to communicate directly with me, by dropping in at my office, by making an appointment by calling (212) 854-3075, or by e-mail.

I hope that you have a productive and happy year.

Best wishes,

Dorothy Denburg
