Weather Update
Due to the storm, Barnard College closed at 4pm Friday, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.
Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information.
The Barnard Library and Archives closed at 4pm Friday and will remain closed on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Library will resume regular hours on Sunday opening at 10am.
Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed. The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open. - Login to your personal Gmail account (or the account that you want to transfer your gBear emails to)
- Click on the gear in the top right corner and choose “settings”
- Once in settings go to “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab
- Select the 1st option under Status in the POP Download section to “Enable POP for all mail”
- Choose from the dropdown your preference as to what you would like to do with your emails once they are accessed via POP.
- Click Save Changes.
- Go to the “Accounts” tab and click on the “Add a POP3 mail account you own” link in the “using POP3” section.
- A small window will appear asking for the email address of the email you want to transfer, this is your gBear account. (Please remember to enter the full email address, not your UNI).
- Click Next Step
- Enter in your full Barnard email address in the username field and your gBear password.
- POP Server: smtp.gmail.com and Port: 995
- Check “Always use SSL”
- Click on “Add Account”
- When prompted with the option to send email as an alias using your gBear email address, choose No and click Finish.
