Any group of 20 students may form a club by presenting a constitution to the SGA and a petition with 50 signatures from the student body. Membership must be open to all Barnard students. Clubs are funded by the SGA. Some clubs receive money for joint activities through the Activities Board at Columbia (ABC), advised by the Office of Student Development and Activities (SDA) for Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
