Weather Update

Due to the storm, Barnard College closed at 4pm Friday, for non-essential personnel. “Essential personnel" include staff in Facilities, Public Safety and Residence Halls.  

Friday evening and weekend classes are cancelled but events are going forward as planned unless otherwise noted. The Athena Film Festival programs are also scheduled to go forward as planned but please check http://athenafilmfestival.com/ for the latest information. 

The Barnard Library and Archives closed at 4pm Friday and will remain closed on Saturday, Feb. 9.  The Library will resume regular hours on Sunday opening at 10am.  

Please be advised that due to the conditions, certain entrances to campus may be closed.  The main gate at 117th Street & Broadway will remain open.  For further updates on college operations, please check this website, call the College Emergency Information Line 212-854-1002 or check AM radio station 1010WINS.

Pamela Phayme joined the Student Life team in 2009. As the Director of Diversity Initiatives, her primary focus is on coordinating campus programs that focus on multiculturalism, cultural heritage month celebrations, conducting social justice trainings/ workshops for the Barnard community, facilitating student leadership retreats and advising cultural clubs and organizations.

Originally from Richmond, VA this "southern belle" has learned to fully appreciate life in New York City!  When she isn't in the office Pam enjoys visiting museums, seeing Broadway shows, playing tennis and finding new places to have brunch.

Dianne Delima

Dianne Delima joined the Diversity Initiatives staff as a Graduate Assistant in September of 2011. She is a west coast native and lived in southern California for seven years before moving to study Higher Education and Diversity at Teachers College, Columbia University. As the G.A. for programming Dianne’s primary responsibilities include: facilitating the Campus Vibes Dialogue Series, co-advising cultural heritage month celebrations, working collaboratively with the Admissions Office on special recruitment initiatives and planning the annual Legacy Graduation Program for seniors.  

In her free time Dianne likes running, playing basketball and tennis. She also enjoys movies, the beach, going to museums and cheering on the L.A. Lakers!
