Information for Exhibitors in the book exhibit

This event is a targeted opportunity for your press to reach over 250 academics in the fields of history, American Studies, city planning, architecture, and urban sociology, as well as practitioners of planning and related fields. Session topics range from public policy to urban culture to sociology and geography. Proudly sponsored by the Society for American City and Regional Planning History (SACRPH) for over a quarter century, the conference has become a central event for these academics and practitioners. We anticipate the largest SACRPH conference to date, showcasing the newest research from senior and junior scholars.

Our California Bay Area site this year will offer an especially productive location for editors and other press representatives who may have additional business in Northern California.

The exhibit of books, journals and films will be open from 9am to 6pm on the two full days of conference sessions (Friday and Saturday). It offers an important forum for conference participants to engage with current literature in these fields, and you can be sure of getting focused attention from a group of people inclined to order titles for themselves, their libraries, and for future course reading.

SACRPH offers two options for display. Recognizing struggling budgets, our fees remain the same as they have over the past few years and we are offering discounted conference registration to the press representative as part of the "Full Presentation" option:

  • Full Presentation - A distinctive presence for display of an unlimited number of books or other materials. Charge: $250 plus half-price registration for the press representative.

  • Limited display - SACRPH provides display space for up to ten titles. Charge: $50. SACRPH will staff the display, manage your order forms, catalogs, and other promotional materials. These books are typically offered to purchasers at a conference discount of 20%. SACRPH will retain proceeds from the sale of display copies at the end of the conference. Order sheets will be forwarded to you.
