Well-Woman is working with Aramark to increase healthful eating
on campus by offering nutritional information and guidance. We plan
to collaborate with student groups like Barnard EARTH to expand
healthful food options and introduce more local produce into Dining
Services menus, as we support sustainable agriculture and environmental
responsibility.

|
Speak your mind, heart, body and spirit on the Well-Woman public
discussion bulletin boards you'll soon see around campus, posted
with provocative questions to foster conversation throughout our
community. Have a suggestion for a "discussion board"?
Send us an email at wellwoman@barnard.edu and let us know! |

Year End Reminders from Health Services:
To All Barnard Students:
Health Services will be closed for clinical care for the
summer after Friday, May 26th. Please make sure you have enough
allergy serum, birth control, acne medications, and any other
medications you may need to last until next semester. You
might also consider taking an advanced supply of Emergency
Contraception with you. Call the HS to make an appointment
to pick up any medications you need for the summer.
Student Health Insurance can be extended through the summer
months-please call HS at x42091 for more info.
Wear sunblock! Remember, hormonal birth control makes your
skin more sensitive to the sun.
If you are traveling to a foreign country and need immunization,
please come to Health Services as soon as possible. You may
need a series of inoculations and some time to build up immunity.
If you are going abroad this summer, make sure to look into
your destination's health care policies before you go. Be
sure to have enough of your prescriptions (in their original
containers!) to last your trip.
Especially for Seniors:
Please pay your outstanding Health Services bills-failure
to do so may delay or prevent you from receiving your diploma
or transcripts.
You can extend your Student Health Insurance through the summer.
Please call HS at x42091 for more information. |
