BCIT provides advice, quotes, installation and maintenance of desktop & laptop PCs for faculty and staff. In general, the College purchases Dell PCs in standard configurations for all members of the Barnard community.   Contact the BCIT Service Desk for a quote, or to discuss your particular computer needs.  (The full process can be seen at the Purchasing web site.)

The BCIT Service Desk has more limited scope of support for personal laptops owned by faculty and staff members. We can assist you with:

  • Connecting to the Barnard secure wireless network
  • Accessing your Barnard email account
  • Installing site-licensed software approved for personal computers
  • Recommending companies which provide technical support for home computing
