All at Barnard are deeply saddened by the recent death of Mrs. Phyllis Ben, a beloved member of the campus community for nearly half a century.

On April 5, students, faculty, and members of the community gathered to hear from a panel of experts on hydraulic fracturing, or “hydrofracking,” a controversial process of fracturing rocks to stimulate the release of natural gas.

Barnard’s magnolia tree is a living piece of the College's history and harbinger of spring. When it blooms each spring, its shade provides a place for discussion and reflection. To celebrate the tree, limited edition Magnolia tree shirts are available at the Barnard Store.
