Proposing a Partnership (for faculty)

Barnard faculty and departments interested in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or other form of agreement with a foreign partner institution must work through the Office of the Provost, the Faculty Committee on Internationalization (FACI), and the Office of General Counsel.  All international agreements must be approved by FACI and signed by the Provost.

Faculty interested in developing an MoU with a partner institution abroad should be in touch with Giorgio DiMauro, Dean for International and Global Strategy, at  The Dean has approved templates for General MoUs, bilateral exchange agreements, and Visiting International Student Program agreements.  Please be aware that the review and approval process can take some time, particularly if changes to the language of the agreement necessitate review by the Office of General Counsel.  Please allow 3-4 weeks for review and approval by FACI and signature by the Provost.
