By Alia Persico-Shammas ’16

More than 500 alumnae and friends gathered at the historic Plaza Hotel for the Annual Gala, which raised more than $3.1 million for student financial aid. Maria Hinojosa ’84 and Cynthia Nixon ’88 were the evening’s hosts, while Nina Rennert Davidson ’95 and Merryl H. Tisch ’77 served as cochairs. The night’s big news was the launch of The Bold Standard: A Campaign for Barnard , which will raise funds for the endowment, annual giving, and construction of the new teaching and learning center. The College honored Cheryl Glicker Milstein ’82; her husband, Philip Milstein CC ’71; and their daughter, Toby Milstein ’14.
