Alumnae and friends of Barnard College gathered at the historic Plaza Hotel for the annual Scholarship Dinner and Auction to honor Ellen Futter ’71 and Barbara Novak ’50. Actress Greta Gerwig ’06 served as MC; the event raised a record $2.1 Million for Financial Aid.

On April 5, students, faculty, and members of the community gathered to hear from a panel of experts on hydraulic fracturing, or “hydrofracking,” a controversial process of fracturing rocks to stimulate the release of natural gas.
First held in 1903 and continuing through 1967, the Greek Games were started to recreate the athletic competitions of heroic Greece. In April 2011, Barnard students revived the Greek Games.
