Barnard College signed onto a letter commenting on the Department of Education’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking under Title IX. This follows up on the message to the community sent in November. The recent letter was submitted on behalf of twenty-four private, liberal arts colleges and universities. In addition, as a member of the American Council on Education, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities, Barnard was included in their letter submitting comments on the proposed Title IX regulations. Barnard is committed to supporting all students and providing a fair and effective process in response to reports of sexual harassment. We will continue to track legislative and regulatory changes, as we have throughout this process.
