The following email was sent to Barnard students, faculty and staff on Nov. 9, 2018:

On Thursday, November 15 we will be having open forums for members of the community about the search for the new Vice President for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement. Spelman and Johnson, the firm managing the search, will be on campus to gain an in-depth understanding of Barnard's culture and priorities, the opportunities and challenges that await the new vice president, and the characteristics sought in the successful candidate.

Please join us for one of three listening sessions on Thursday, November 15 in the Vagelos Alumnae Center, Sulzberger Hall. Light refreshments will be available.

Faculty:  9:30 a.m.

Staff: 10:30 a.m.

Students:  11:30 a.m.

If you are unable to attend a session and/or would prefer to email your thoughts, you may send them to vpdiversitysearch@barnard.edu.

More information about this search, including a list of the search advisory committee's members, can be found on this webpage. Having input from our community is important to the search process, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Best,
