MAPS: Take a Barnard Student to Work

Current Barnard students will visit the workplace of her alumna match and participate in a job shadowing experience. For students who are exploring more than one career option, this day allows you to get a first-hand look at a company’s culture, along with the day-to-day aspects of a particular industry or position. And most of all, students get the invaluable opportunity to network with enthusiastic alumnae and build connections in their field of interest. This event takes place in the fall and spring semester.

"I gained knowledge about positions in an industry that is difficult to access. My alumna, as well as her colleagues, gave me insight into the processes I would need to enter the field as well as the pros and cons of their daily commitments." Shannon Troy'12
