Fall 2018 Club ReFuel for GBB Clubs

As in past years, for GBB-recognized groups, we will combine Club ReFuel with Being Barnard Leaders, an annually hosted mandatory sexual assault and violence prevention training for student leaders. Attendance to one Barnard Club ReFuel/Being Barnard Leaders session is MANDATORY for all executive board members of GBB recognized groups, Skip Stop, and the Bulletin. Clubs with dual recognition are still required to attend Club ReFuel/Being Barnard Leaders at Barnard.

These sessions are the only opportunity for student groups to complete this requirement. Student groups whose entire executive board does not attend one of these sessions will not be able to access funds or reserve space on Barnard’s campus for the 2018-2019 academic year.

This year, we will offer thematic information/exercises based on some group classifications (i.e. Cultural groups and Performance groups). While you may register for whichever session works best for your schedule, we encourage executive board members to attend thematic sessions as their schedule allows.

Sessions will occur on the following dates/times:

9/7 Fri. 3:00-5:30 pm (General)

James Room, Barnard Hall

9/9 Sun. 1:00-3:30 pm (Encouraged for Cultural Groups)

James Room, Barnard Hall

9/9 Sun. 4:00-6:30 pm (Encouraged for Performance Groups)

James Room, Barnard Hall

9/16 Sun. 5:00-7:30 pm (General)

Diana Center, 504

To register, please complete this form by Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 12:00 pm. Each student leader must register individually for their Club ReFuel session. If you are unable to attend any sessions, please notify GBB (gbb@barnard.edu) BEFORE the Sept. 5th deadline. You will receive information about the make-up session offered later in the semester. Please note that this will delay your entire club’s access to funds and space reservations.

For student groups that wish to program on the Columbia campus, please visit Columbia’s Events Management website for more information.

Fall 2018 Club ReFuel for Non-GBB Clubs

Club ReFuel at Barnard is required for all recognized clubs interested in reserving space on Barnard's campus. Each non-GBB club may send up to two representatives to Club ReFuel. The two representatives who attend will serve as the club's VEMS designees during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Each representative must register separately through this form. Please register no later than September 5th.

Activities Fair

The Activities Fair at Barnard will take place on Wednesday, September 5th from 12:00-4:00pm in the Event Oval to allow new and returning students the opportunity to check out all of the recognized clubs on campus. All GBB recognized groups, SGA, McAC, The Bulletin, the Clay Collective, and Skip-Stop will be able to register for the Activities Fair at Barnard. Student groups may need to share a 6’ table. Please plan your decorations and volunteers accordingly.

To register, clubs should complete this form no later than Wednesday, August 29th by 5:00pm. If you have any questions regarding student club registration please email: clubadvisors@barnard.edu or gbb@barnard.edu.
