  • July 16: Poster Form Due by 11:59PM
    • You must complete a brief online questionnaire that asks for the names of the co-authors on your poster and their affiliation, your mentor(s) name(s) and affiliation(s) and the title of your poster. We will use this information to prepare the poster session program.
  • July 16: Poster Drafts Due as .pptx and .pdf files on Canvas by 11:59PM
    • All students who plan to participate in Workshop 2 (see below) should submit a draft poster (no matter what state it is in) on Canvas.
    • Writing Fellows will be holding drop-in hours to help SRI students write and revise their posters.  The Writing Fellows are specially trained peer tutors who work with writers in all disciplines; during the semester, they work with attached classes and staff the Writing Center on the second floor of Barnard Hall.  Six Writing Fellows on campus this summer are Science Fellows - a cohort of students that are all science majors and Writing Fellows who have been working with several science classes during the school year with lab reports and other scientific writing including Biology 1500 and Quantitative Analysis..  They are prepared to help students in all phases of the poster-writing process, from brainstorming to revision.  To meet with a Writing Fellow, sign up on this Google doc and come to the Writing Center at one of the times listed on the sheet.  Appointments are first-come, first-serve, and start this afternoon in the Writing Center.
    • SRI staff will print the drafts on letter size paper and bring them to the July 18 Poster Prep Session (see below).
  • July 17: Library Poster Prep Session Workshop 2, 5:30-6:30PM, Altschul 202 (Lehman Auditorium)
    • We will discuss the poster printing process and poster session logistics, and break you up into small groups of 4 students.
    • Most guidelines and instructions are listed on the library website, please look at them carefully.
      In these small groups, you will have the opportunity to practice presenting your poster to others, receive feedback, and fill out the poster checklist.

  • July 26: Final Posters Due as .pptx and .pdf files on Canvas by 11:59pm
    • Submit your final poster as .pptx and .pdf file to Canvas
    • We will print posters for you the next day.

Arrive to the Diana Oval by 9:30 am and hang your poster. Specific instructions will be provided on site.

The session will start with brief remarks at 10am and run until 12:15pm.
