Check-Out Deadline
Non-Graduating Students:
- Within 24 hours of their last scheduled exam or by no later than 5pm on Friday, May 12, 2023 (whichever comes first)
Graduating Seniors:
- 10am on Thursday, May 18, 2023
Students with approved programmatic extensions (ex. Junior Marshals, Give & Go Green, etc.) & students who applied for May Interim (until the start of summer housing) will receive confirmation instructions by 11pm on Friday, May 5. Students will need to be prepared to move with their belongings to a temporary shared double room in the Quad on Friday, April 12, for the extension.
Submit Your Planned Check-Out Date
To help your RA and building staff plan for check-out, please submit the date/time you plan by clicking the link on the front page of the Housing Portal.
Check-Out Procedures
Students must complete both steps below to avoid any check-out fees:
- Turn in a Check-Out Envelope at your residence hall front desk. Fill out the front of the envelope and secure your room/suite keys inside. Submit a check-out envelope even if you've lost your keys.
- Submit the Confirm Check-Out form on the Portal after you move out (QR code will be available at the residence hall front desks or click link on front page of the Portal).
Failure to complete proper check-out protocols may result in fines to your student account.
Planning for Check-Out
- 24-hour Quiet Hours begin at 8pm on Monday, May 1, through 12noon on Friday, May 12.
- Students should a plan with their roommate / suitemates for suite & room cleaning prior to moving out.
- For links to off-campus storage vendors, visit barnard.edu/reslife/services/storage. Storage is not available on campus.

Summer Housing Application Deadline
Students who wish to apply for summer housing must submit an application on the Housing Portal (if they have not already) before 4pm Monday, April 24, 2023. For more information, please visit barnard.edu/reslife/summer-housing.
